Povall Engineering, PLLC is a multidisciplinary civil and environmental engineering firm undergoing solid growth and expansion. Povall Engineering, PLLC will be fulfilling junior engineer and project engineer positions. The requirements for each candidate are as follows:
Junior Engineer
Each candidate must have a B.S. in civil engineering and have a minimum of one year of experience in land development engineering. The junior engineer must have experience in grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and water resources. He or she must be proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, and Excel. Proficiency with HydroCAD is a plus. The candidate must have good communications skills
The junior engineer candidate will be responsible for completing various engineering design tasks, report writing, and communication with clients and reviewing agency personnel and contractors. Candidates will be expected to be available for on-site inspections and must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Project Engineer
Each candidate must have a B.S. in civil engineering and have a minimum of three years of experience in land development design engineering. A NYS Professional Engineer License is preferred but not required. The project engineer must have experience in master planning, site plan and subdivision plan preparation, all aspects of land development design, and technical report writing. The candidate should also possess good communication skills to interact with clients, review agencies, municipal boards and contractors and be familiar with municipal, county, and New York State codes related to land development. They applicant must be proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, Word, and Excel.
The project engineer will be responsible for engineering design in land development, plan and specification preparation, and communicating with clients and review agencies for complex residential and commercial projects. The candidate will prepare stormwater pollution and prevention plans (SWPPP). Land development design will entail layout, grading, stormwater management, drainage, water and sewer systems, individual septic systems, utility, basic landscaping and lighting, erosion control, and so on. Candidates will be expected to be available for on-site inspections, out of office meetings, and attendance at municipal board meetings and must maintain a valid driver’s license.
